Designated banks partnered with BBMP accept property tax payments. Property owners can visit these banks’ branches and make payments over the counter or through electronic modes supported by the banks.
BBMP offices or service centers have counters where property owners can visit in person and pay their property taxes using cash, card, or other acceptable modes.

The rate at which property tax is charged depends on the specific zone where the property is situated. There are 6 different zones in which Bangalore is divided into. Respective to each zone the rate of tax varies.

The property tax is paid annually.
The cycle starts from April of every year and ends in March of the next year. It must be paid before April 30th.
In case of delay an interest of 2% per month is charged.
Property tax can also be paid in two installments without interest.
